age” to 21 stuffed animals being sent on a world adventure. Each “teddy” has an ID badge, journal and

instructions for it to be handed from traveller to traveller. Travellers are requested to send postcards to
help the class track the teddies’ adventures before their return June 1.

their musicianship in an
ensemble arrangement or as
soloists in their own creative
version of a standard piece of
piano literature.

In traditional lessons,
ensemble work is limited to
duet or trio groupings as
demonstrated by the younger
students. Due to the unique
lesson format of Robert Pace
Group Piano we can form

much larger ensembles in
order to. give students
“orchestral” experience.

While most pianists study
and rehearse in “solitary con-
finement,” = Pace — classes
address the important, bur
often ignored aspect of music
-— that it is a social art.

Easter Fun Fair
open to public

HAVE you ever wondered who lives in the log
house in the Maplewood Farm parking lot?

Maplewood preschool invites the public fora peek and some
family fun during their annual Easter Fun Fair, on Saturday,
March 8, from 1} aim. t0 2:30 p.m. Admission is free.

* Downstairs, the children will enjoy Easter activities such as
Easter basker making, face painting, cupcake decorating and
much more.

Upstairs, for the adults, there will be a silent auction with
great donations from the community and beyond. Some of the
auction items and contributors include: Whistler weekend get-
away, Maplewood Farm memberships, Royai Hudson return
trip for ovo, Arts Club Theatre membership, Crash Crawlies,
laser game centre, gardening items, Grizzlies tickets, dining gift
certificates, haircuts, auto service vouchers and brewing & wine
making.
