themselves may have an effect on public opinion. All
B.C. election polls so far have shown the NDP ahead of
Social Credit.

RESULTS FROM new political polis have been getting
publicized almost daily since the ‘B.C. election was call-
ed. Besides individual parties commissioning polis,
media outlets including the Vancouver Sun and BCTV
have commissioned and publicized their own polls.
While a politician once said they were only good for
dogs, polls (and not poles), complete with their
