Dunn’s background as a sports media man for the .Winnipeg Tribune from ’65 to '70, the Van- couver Sun from ‘70 to '72, the Montreal Star from ’72 to .’78 and: Montreal radio station CJAD from ‘78. to °83, made Amster’s choice an easy ‘one. . we ; Dunn's company was asked to critique the official Olympic pro- gram Sports Illustrated had developed for the Los’ Angeles summer Olympics and subsequent- ly found room for improvement. Dunn says 200,000 programs were printed for Canadian con- sumption at the winter games; 250,000 were printed by Sports Il- lustrated for distribution in the United States and a printing was done in England. All work on the. project was done locally in West Vancouver except the printing, which was a CA done in Montreal and Toronto, and the color photo separation work, which was done by Sports HMlustrated in New York, Dunn estimates the project pumped approximately $250,000 into the B.C. economy.
