plaining kis difficulties in
replacing his dough
machine, a Kenmore model
that died prematurely.

Most kitchen-strength dough
machines can’t handle a four to
five loaf load and the ones that
can are, ‘Hey, 1 didn’t want to
buy the company — just the
machine!’’,

He’s keeping me posted. Mean-
while, he requested this recipe,
providing | could find it in what
passes for files.

See’s is a famous candy maker
with outlets all over the U.S. My
friend Nancy loved their chocolate
fudge and wrote to them, re-
questing the recipe.

She got. it, along with a hefty
bill. She gave it to me, and like
every Other fine recipe I get, I pass
them on to a few selected friends
on the North Shore.

SEE’S FUDGE

This is quite similar to the other
chocolate fudge recipe I’ve printed
on several occasions.
1 tall can condensed milk
(evaporated, not sweetened)
4%. c. sugar
3 — 6 02. packages regular choc-
olate chips
1 — 8 az. jar marshmallow cream
(Hipolite brand. if you can find it,
otherwise use Kraft)
2 Thsp vanilla
Zc. chopped wainuts
Yo Ib. butter

large saucepan and bring to a boil.
Cook for 9 minutes, — stirring
constantly.

Combine chips, marshmallow
cream, vanilla and butter in a
large bow}.

Stir in hot mixture and continue
stirring until chocolate is melted.

Add nuts. Pour into a
9” X 13°" pan and refrigerate.
When very cold, cut in squares.

Do not attempt to halve this —
it doesn’t work.

It freezes well.
