Gunman sought NORTH VANCOUVER RCMP conducted a three-hour manhunt in the Mount Seymour area Sunday after a man with a pun attempted fo rob two women hiking on the Baden Powell Trail. According to a North Vancouver RCMP spokesman, the two hikers came upon the would-be robber while on the trail at approximately 2 p.m. : The man pointed a small silver handgun at them in the Seymour Provincial Park area of the trail. He demanded that the two turn over their money and credit cards, which they did not have with them at the time. The suspect fled north on the trail after the failed robbery. The police searched the arez, deploying the emergency response team, police dogs and a police helicopter. it is believed the suspect had a vehicte parked nearby. The suspect is described as being a white male, about 40 years old, with a round face. He is approximately 3°10" and 260 pounds. He was wearing a blue jacket aad dark pants.
