Pally Doven, ECO Canada’s executive director, is thrilled by the generous support received from Farris and Gorman, who do- nated 50% of the profits from the exhibition to ECO. Gorman is the L.A. photographer who is the exclusive choice of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Schwarzenegger, DeNiro, Pacino and Basinger. At the April 9 opening, about 200 media and show biz types turned out to gape at the incredi- ble photographs of Bette Davis, Mel Gibson, Sonia Braga and Brigitte Neilsen, and the shots of anonymous, well-toned young men sans clothing caught the at- tention of every woman — and a few men — in the room. Peter Brasso was a refreshing face in the crowd — he usually doesn’t attend these things (Peter has just left dad Henning’s Rich- mond Fionda to proceed with his law career at Allard & Co.). Other rarely-seen faces were those.of top VSE promcter Glen Lawrence and his wife, North Van award-winning florai designer Denise Dahl, who’s on sabbatical while doing the ‘‘mom thing.” Best-dressed was Peter Thomas, who wore the most exquisite silk suit |! have ever seen, and worst- dressed was a helmet head with a cellular phone attache to her ear, silver shoes and enough make-up to embarrass Tammy Faye. She leit early, though — proba- bly had to go home and feed her Chia-Pet. xk Jazz lovers may now return to the Troller Pub on Saturdays.
