Mailbox - Apartheid the least of Africa’s problems Dear Editor: 1 found Larry Kuehn’s letter incongruous to say the least regarding his concern for the blacks in South Africa. It never fails to amaze me why he and his ilk show no concern for the atrocities perpetrated by blacks on blacks in other areas of Africa, or is that irrelevant? Why do blacks continue to seek entry into South Africa? Could it be that by comparison they feel safer there, than under black rule elsewhere? Come now, Mr. Kuehn, wouldn't you really like to see the white vovernment topple in order that the Communist-run National African Congress could then take control? © School sponsors thanked Dear Editor: as assisting with the bottle drive, On behalf of the children, and Save-On-Foods who have parents and staff of Maplewood helped us raise $6,400 for our Community School I would like to multicultural exchange program. thank all who have helped with our Their enthusiastic support is need- multicultural fund-raising cam- ed and it is appreciated. If this were not the case, then why differentiate be- tween the plight of the blacks in South Africa as op- posed (o those jiving outside its boundaries. Apartheid is abhorrent to mast and so this emo- tional issue is used time and again to cloud a far more sinister ideal. if Mr. Kuehn is sincere about his concern for the plight of the blacks in Africa then that concern should not be limited to one area of that vast continent, Apartheid is the least of their worries compared to poverty, disease and the barbaric regime that so many are subjected to. Sunshine Cabs Ltd. regrets any ference created by that article or quotes that indicate anything less than wholehearted support for the MCC and its offices. Sunshine has obeyed the MCC directive on our suspension but will continue to press for changes to taxi licensing regulations in the future. Sincerely, SUNSHINE CABS LTD.
