Apartheid the least
of Africa’s problems

Dear Editor:

1 found Larry Kuehn’s letter incongruous to say the
least regarding his concern for the blacks in South
Africa.

It never fails to amaze me why he and his ilk show
no concern for the atrocities perpetrated by blacks on
blacks in other areas of Africa, or is that irrelevant?

Why do blacks continue to seek entry into South
Africa? Could it be that by comparison they feel safer
there, than under black rule elsewhere?

Come now, Mr. Kuehn, wouldn't you really like to
see the white vovernment topple in order that the
Communist-run National African Congress could then
take control? ©

If this were not the case, then why differentiate be-
tween the plight of the blacks in South Africa as op-
posed (o those jiving outside its boundaries.

Apartheid is abhorrent to mast and so this emo-
tional issue is used time and again to cloud a far more
sinister ideal.

if Mr. Kuehn is sincere about his concern for the
plight of the blacks in Africa then that concern should
not be limited to one area of that vast continent,
Apartheid is the least of their worries compared to
poverty, disease and the barbaric regime that so many
are subjected to.

1987) in the North Shore News, left the
erroneous impression that the manage-
ment of Sunshine Cabs Ltd. found fault
in the Motor Carrier Commission deci-
sion to suspend seven Sunshine Cab
licenses for a two week period.

Sunshine Cabs Ltd. regrets any
