But other community groups, such as the North Shore Living and Learning Centre and the North Van- couver Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities, had their requests for City funding rejected. Council makes no comments on the decision to award money to some groups and not to others, merely releasing the names of the groups and the amount of the grant, if awarded. Other groups to get City funding for 1983 include North Shore Family Services ($15,500), North Shore Volunteers to tell of cancer work NORTH SHORE volunteers active in the patient service and public education pro grams of the Canadian Cancer Society are holding an information evening next Tuesday, April 12, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Highlands School, 3150 Colwood, North Vancouver.
