Lions Football Club have been working long, hard hours to prepare for the coming season. An unbelievable amount of effort has since gone into the post-evaluation of our 1981 game performance, and in the scouting and recruiting of new players to strengthen the team and provide for replacements and retirements. We have a solid group of young but seasoned veteran players returning to the team as well as an out- standing crop of rookies. We have a highly competent, experienced and stable coaching and training staff. We have capable people in our front office who are managing, marketing and administering the affairs of the Club on a professional, business-like basis. And, perhaps most important of all, we have the will to win! We expect that the Western Division of the C.F.L. will again be highly competitive this year, and that the other Western teams will be as strong or stronger than they were last season. | PAUL HIGGINS | Major improvements can also be anticipated in the Eastern Division of the League, now that the Montreal situation seems to be straightened out and stronger management and coaching ts in place in Toronto. All m all, despite the problems of the economy, the coming C.F.L. season looks like it will be very exciting. Many people are unaware of the fact that the B.C. Lions Football Club is a community-owned organiz- ation which represents not only Greater Vancouver but also the entire Province of British Columbia im the Sale ends Saturday, June 19th ake Dad Glad Save Up To $10.99 Leather Loafers Comfortable mocassin toe slip-ons with brown, tan or black leather uppers.
