A: According to the North Shore Recycling Program, any- thing that comes delivered in your newspaper may be put in the biue bag, including glossy flyers and those with staples. Specific questions about materials that go in the blue box or blue bag should be directed to International Paper Industries at 929-3416. Q. | seem to end up with large quantities of rub- ber bands in my house. Is there anyone out there who can use them or recycle them? A. Good question. Is there? Readers with ideas can phone Peggy Trendell-whittaker at 985-2131. Q. What can 1 do about family members who don’t participate in and sometimes even sabotage my environmental efforts around the house? A. Don’t give in! Be patiently persistent in your efforts to make changes in your own lifestyle, and your housemates may eventually develop a greener frame of mind. Constant nagging and fervent accusations are unlikely to help your case, however — you’re more likely to impress them with your actions than your words.
