ing costs related to the closure of

the Premier Street landfill.

Under non-operating items, the
budget includes capital works ex-
penditures of $6,309,000.

Capital expenditures include a

$2.1 million creek protection pro-.

gram for which the district has ap-
plied to the province. for 75 per
cent of the funding; a-$1 million
revitalization program for West
Vancouver commercial areas; a

beginning to the Ambleside-by-Sea
project with the removal of the old
transit facility at the foot of 14th
Street; and a continuation of the
program to upgrade the district’s
water distribution system to make
West Vancouver more self-reliant.
