Both sides were scoreless after the first half, in a game which saw some hard tackling but also featured good passing by both teams. Kypriaki opened the scoring in the 55th minute, when Dave Deeming, who was playing as a substitute, caught the far ‘corner of the net with his first kick of the game. Doug Reed then scored on a corner by Deeming, and Paul Granger finished the scoring on a breakway pass from Paul Woodward. Outstanding defensive players for Kypriaki were Paul Woodward and Stuart Brodrick, while ncw goalkeeper Bruce Bell had his first shutout. Kypriaki’s next game is this Saturday, in Richmond Park, Burnaby, against the B.C. Games silver medal winning Burnaby Edmonds.
