THE GREATER Vancouver
Regional District (GVYRD) has
given grants totalling $114,850 to
the Vancouver Symphony Or-
chestra and the Vancouver Opera
Society.

The symphony will
$74,650 and the opera $40,200.

The same allocations were made _

to the two groups last year by the
GVRD.

In addition, $120,000 was added
to the GVRD grants endowment
fund.

The regional district grants pro-
gram came into effect last year.
