A record 180 lady golfers enjoyed pizza, hot dogs, wine coolers and. margaritas at all the holes. Ani Feuermann and Penny Omnes won a VCR each and the Canuck’s high-flying PR man Glen Ringdal paid $500-plus for a three-piece Enda B outfit that BCTV's Jennifer Mather mod- elled. There was a very lucky person who won the big draw atthe gala soiree hosted by hotelier, Mare Armstrong, at his posh Delta Place Hotel on Howe Street last Thursday. Mare orchestrated the evening affair to display the hotel's fantastic new renovations. As we arrived we were pho- tographed patting the head of the fierce-looking Foo dogs for luck and welcomed by the sounds of Dal Richard's Big Band in the lobby. Then we checked out the updated meeting rooms on the second floor, rendezvoued in the restaurant for tasty tidbits, took in the new jazzy 17th and [8th floor suites and the fuxurious Tai Pan suite, peeked in at their third floor fitness centre and enjoyed desserts and jazz in the Crystal Room, In between looking, supping and sipping we were all glued to the various TV sets watching the hockey game. , All of the 540 guests enjoyed the affair especially the North Shore's lucky Dorothy Paukste of Price Waterhouse the draw winner of the trip for two to Bangkok...
