GO BC.

THE HOWE Sound Curling Club
has received approval of an
$11,471 GO B.C. award to help
replace the evaporator-condenser
and chiller for the ice-making
machine, Provincial Secretary
Howard Dirks has announced.

Dirks, minister responsible for
GO B.C., said the machine is over
40 years old and requires the
repairs to operate effectively.

than 300 active curlers. ‘‘They
hope to have the improvements
installed for the start of the curl-
ing season,” he added.

GO B.C. is a capital funding
program which uses the proceeds
from lotteries operated by the
B.C. Lottery Cooporation to
assist a wide range of community
initiatives.
