Program targets child abuse CHILD ABUSE, from neglect to physical and sexual abuse, will be the focus of an upcoming program on Shaw Cable (Cable 4). The Capilane Forum on Child Abuse, produced by Capilano College, features Lois Rennie of the col- lege’s Early Childhood Education program, and rep- resentatives from Chesterfield House and the Ministry cf Social Services and Housing. They will be inter- viewed by host Crawford Kilian, Capilano instructor. Panelists will discuss the extent of child abuse in the North Shore community, its causes, myths about child abuse and local resources available to help children, abusers and potential abusers. The show brings out the message that help is available and that people can change their patterns of behavior. The Capilano Forum on Child Abuse will be shown on Shaw Cable on Thursday, June 1! at 9 p.m. and repeats on Sunday, June 14 at 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 16 at 10:30 p.m.
