Hoskins Road _ residents Dan and Sharon Simunic were thwarted again Friday, May 21, when the case they are bringing against the District was called in provincial court and ad- journed again. The case has been ad- journed on = vanous_ oc- casions. The last fme was because District was trying to make up its mind over how to plead, having failed to have the charges quashed by the provincial attorney general's department. This time counsel for District, Tim Mackenzie, stated he objected to the charges on technica} grounds. District is charged with seven counts of con- travening the pollution control permit authorizing _the operation of the dump in that it allegedly failed to cover waste material daily with topsoil on seven dates in January. The _ identical charges are also laid against District Engineer John Bremner and Deputy Engineer Harry McBride.
