Association holds raffle

THERE'S STILL time to support
the Canadian Diabetes Associa-
tion’s 1991 Honda Raffle. Ticket
buyers could win one of two new
cars, a trip to Los Angeles, a
weekend getaway at a B.C. resort,
or $100 cash.

Volunteers are selling tickets at
$2 each or 3 for $5 at Lynn Valley
Centre, 1199 Lynn Valley Road,
North Vancouver, until May 19.
The draw date for all prizes is Ju-
ly 18, 1991. The annual Honda
Raffle is one of the B.C. Divi-
sion’s largest fundraising pro-
jects. Proceeds from the Honda

Raffle will go to support the Ca-
nadian Diabetes Association’s
research, education, advocacy,
and service programs.

One in twenty Canadians has or
will develop diabetes, which can
lead to blindness, kidney failure,
nerve damage, and heart disease.
Research is making progress into
improved treatments und a better
understanding of diabetes, but
there is no cure.
