SECOND and third readings
for the rezoning of West
First and Forbes from in-
dustrial to comprehensive
development was tabled by
North Vancouver City
Council until June {5 when
the mayor returns.

Aldermen agreed 3-1 10
discuss the rezoning in in-
camera, with Ald. Ralph
Hall against.

Said Ald. Ralph Hall:
““We asked our staff for a
report and the information
should’ have been available
when the public was there.
The report was stamped
confidential, but it should

weeks ago. I know staff likes
this project."*

The in-camera decision
was to defer second and
third readings until Mayor
Jack Loucks is present.

The rezoning would allow
Sagan Information Systems
to build their proposed
$500,000 computer research

- building at the corner of

West First and Forbes.

But focal apartment § §

dwellers complained before a
public hearing that the new
development would obstruct
their view.

Graham Crockart assured
council and residents the
plans for the development
strictly follow the Official
Community Pian.
