Marlis won the Queen's t- tle ovér 13 other contestants in the annual North Shore beauty-plus-personality con- test staged for the 3ist year _ by the Pageant’s founder, Gertie Todd. Runner-up for the utle of Princess was Leslie Lorenz (Miss Little Billy's). Cheryl Cunningham (Miss Lynn Valley) was chosen ' “Miss Personality” by a vote of her fellow contestants. The crowning ceremonies culminated a colorful talent show in which all entrants participated before a packed and appreciative audience.
