EE entertainment Ceramic showing AN UNUSUAL § show of Ceramic Wall Sculptures will ferace the halls of the North Mancouver City Hall Gallery, opening Wednesday, September /12, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. : The joint showing of this media by the three top ceramic artists, Bob Kingsmill, "Donna McLaren and Ron Tribe, all residents of the North Shore, will be a first for the popular Civic Gallery. All three artists will be attending on opening night to discuss their work. Bob Kingsmill, who receiv- ed his training at the Univer- sity of Manitoba, has had many shows throughout B.C. and the rest of the country. Besides his own work, he has taught courses al! through the Province and at present is an instructor at Capilano College. In addition, he has published ‘‘A Catalogue of B.C. Potters’’ and is present- ly working on a book on Axel Ebring, the Old Vernon Potter. Donna McLaren, trained at the University of Guelph and Sheridan College School of Design, and also par- ticipated in workshops by respected potters from various parts of the world. Her work has been displayed and sold all across Canada including North West Territories. Donna has also been an in- structor m Vancouver and Picture loan START the fall season with style! He is highly descriptive and has a serious and qutiet nature which is illustrated in all his work. The popularity of his work attests to his suc- cess in developing his own forms and style as an expres- sion of his individuality.
