things, but reality has to be
checked, so I hopped on the
Honda ‘Web site to see if
there was any mention of Mr

There wasn't, of course,

mail. A customer brought it
to his attention a few months

Desjardins wondered
what would possess anyone
to create such an e-mail. Not
long ago he said he got one
based on “pity.” It suggested
that if the chain remained
unbroken for a million ¢-
mails a child with no icgs
would receive artificial limbs
donated by a prestigious
medical company.

How that company was
going to kaow about the
number of e-mails read-
dressed was not made clear.

And just to be quite clear,
Honda’s marketing staff can-
nor trace your e-mail tor-
wards,

Nor would they want to.
Even if e-mail tracking were
technically feasible, the cost
of doing so would be cnor-
mous. ;

And then of course chere
would be the litte item of
the cost of one million cars!
This is a hoax, just like the
“Free M&M's” and “Frze
Beer from Miller” chain let-
ters that preceded it.

Before you believe or for-
ward any such message ...
think.

Chain fetters haven't
changes’ much over the past
