Canoe Indian Arm Sunday THE Outdoor Pursuits Centre has a full fall schedule of activities on the trails and on the water. The North Van recreation commission satellite program has developed their hiking series into one of the most popu- lar on the North Shore. This Saturday, the Easy Hiking Series treks along the Cedar Mill Trail. This beginner’s hiking series meets at 9 a.m. Saturday mornings at the Lonsdale recreation centre (123 E. 3rd St., North Vancouver). Upcoming hikes include Goldie Lake (Oct. 4), Spanish Banks (Oct. 18), and Capilano Regional Park (Oct. 25). For the more trail-hardened, the Moderate Hiking Series caters to those looking to improve fitness and explore the North Shore mountains. Tomorrow’s destination is Brother’s Creek Trail, followed by Seymour - 3 Peaks (Oct. 4), Lower Hotlyburn (Oct. 18) and Mosquito Creek- Capilano Loop (Oct. 25}. Pre-registration is required.
