~ Seaside celebration in WV

DESPITE cloudy skies, a large
crowd gathered to watch the West
Vancouver Community Day
parade fast Saturday

With the theme of “wert and wild,” there
were floars trom local schools and commu
Diy eroups strewn with fish. sails and surt
boards. For the kids there were wandering
versions of Bry Bird a giant Gat and a two:
feweed donut.

Local MPs and MEAs, including West
Van's John Reynolds, also cruised past, wav
ing maiestivally te: onlookers.

The parade wound dowa at the West Van
Ree Centre, where additional entertainment
included a family carnival, beer garden, an

sand crafts fairy and music and dance per
formances.
