This year’s derby at Pender Harbor raised $6,200. The money raised helps support the Vancouver General Hospital burn unit. First prize, a 12-foot fibreglass boat, went. to Terry Abrams, who hauled in a 7 ib. 10 02. salmon. With the proceeds generated by this year’s 125 participants, the derby has collected $25,000 over the past seven years for the burn unit.
