WV gatecrasher arrested

A 16-year-old West
Vancouver youth is said to
have tried to kick out the
windows of a police car after
being arrested late Friday
night when a party got out of
hand on the 1000 block
Clyde Avenue.

It took two police officers
even to get the youth into the
car after a struggle and the
youth is likely to face
charges of causing a

disturbance and _ resisting
arrest.
_ An adult the

supervising
party, which had been in-
tended for 15-20 people,
called the police when the
numbers were swelled
considerably by
gatecrashers, who are said to
have become “destructive”.

The party spilled out onto
the street and when police
arrived they are said to have

been met by youths who
were shouting obscenities at
them.

One of the youths said to
have been shouting was told
he was under arrest for
causing a disturbance and
police say he became in-
volved in a “vigorous
struggle” with them.

They allege he managed to
get away after being arrested

Robbery information sought

RCMP are asking for help
in their investigation of a
bank robbery at the 1505
Lonsdale Branch of the
Toronto Dominion Friday
lunchtime.

They want to hear from
anyone who saw the two

men aged between 18 and 20
who escaped with an amount
of cash under $500 after
handing a holdup note to a
teller, without producing
any weapons.

They are both described
as 5ft. 10 in. tall, 165 1b.. and
