Whether it’s a candle or a bottle of homemade vinegar, dress it up in a beautiful bot- tle bag. These bags are made of simple pieces of fabric tied up with pretty bows and rib- bons. The time involved is minimal and the results are gorgeous! Materials: decorative pieces of fabric organza ribbon, decorations (available at floral stores and fabric stores) thread and sewing machine Set up your sewing machine. Carefully lay out your fab- ric so that the good sides are facing each other with a fold on one end. With the fold at the bot- tom, measure up one side 15” and over 6” then down 15”, You should be back at the fold. : Carefully cut out the mea- sured piece and pin up the cut 15” sides. Sew across the top piece of the bag. With right sides togethcr, sew up the two 15” sides. Turn the bag inside out so that you are left with a fin- ished bag. Place your bottle inside the bag and tie with a pretty organza ribbon. The class will also include a demonstration of a mini Biedermeier-seyle piece for the guest bathroom. On March 10, Meyer will teach Eurapean and Funky Hand-tied Floral Arrange- ments, Gaining popularity in the west, hand-tied bouquets have historical, roots in Europe. This class features hands-on help, a discussion on the history and nature of hand-ties and practice making the lovely bouquets.
