Hionda proves that good things come in small packages

HONDA’S 1990 lineup of Civic four-door sedans,
three-door hatchbacks and wagons continues to
provide state-of-the-art automotive technology at
an affordable price.

The 1990 Civic Hatchback is available in four trim levels:
Standard, CX, DX and Si Hatchbacks.

QUALITY AND VALUE

The 1990 Hatchback offers contemporary styling, a
spacious interior, plus Honda's reputation for quality and
value at an affordable price.

The sporty top-of-the-line Civic Si Hatchback features a
1.6-litre, SOHC 16-valve engine with multi-point fucl injec-
tion that produces 108 horsepower. A smooth-shifting five-
speed manual transmission is standard, along with gas
pressurized front and rear shock absorbers and larger 185/60
R14 tires for sporty handling characteristics.

Standard features on the 1990 Si Hatchback include a ta-
chometer, power sunroof, rear window wiper/washer,
dual-outlet exhaust, dual manual remote-operated mirrors,
contoured bucket seats with combination moquette/ tricot
upholstery, driver’s footrest and body-colored bumpers and
mirrors.

PRECISE HANDLING

AH 1990 Civics offer front and rear double wishbone
suspension for ride comfort and precise handling. This com-
pact design has also aliowed a low hoodline, contributing to
greater outward visibility and reduced wind resistance, as
well as more interior space for both passengers and cargo.

Near-flush glass surface and smooth, slim halogen
headlights also contribute to efficient aerodynamics on the
1990 Civics.

Both the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned on
this model for 1990. AIl new Civics have also received
redesigned front and rear combination lights and taillights. A
restyled instrument panel with larger, easy-to-read instru-
ments is included in the interior refinements, as well as
daytime running lights.

All 1990 Civics are equipped with three-point seat belts in
the outboard seating positions.

The Honda Civic Si is available on the North Shore at
