Summer programs offered

THE BOYS’ and Girls’ Clubs of Greater Vancouver
are offering a supervised summer recreation program
for children aged six to 12 years.

Opportunities will be given to learn skills in sports,
arts and crafts and drama, and there will be outtrip
activities. Some community cultural events will be in-
cluded.

Programs will be held at Lynnmour and
Maplewood community schools in North Vancouver.

The program runs from July 6 to August 28. There
will be community care for those parents who require
it from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday
through Friday.

Registration is also taking place now for Camp
Potlatch, a camp for children seven to 18 years.

Camp Potlatch is located on the northern shores of
Howe Sound and provides varying lengths of camping
sessions from five to 15 days.

The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs organization believes
“that every child should have an opportunity to par-
ticipate in this type of outdoor experience, and for
that reason, fees are kept affordable to ail parents,
negotiated according to the parents’ ability to pay.”’
