WITH THE completion of first round action in the North Shore Intermediate soccer association, Western Realty Spurs and = North Shore Wolves remain the on- ly undeteated teams in the three division league. Spurs downed West Van United 6-0 on the weekend in Division three action to run their season record to five wins against only one draw to stay a single point ahead of the only other undefeated team, North Shore Wolves. Wolves have four wins against two draws. In the only other third divi- sion game, North Shore Kicks were handed a $.2 defeat at the hands of Mount Seymour Bulldogs. Division two results saw Spurs undefeated NS Old Boys down WV Old Timers 4-2, WV Rangers over Rotary Lions Gate 3-] and WV Rowdies downed Rusty Gull Crusaders 2-1. In Division one, NS Wanderers downed Van- couver Holdings S-2, Shop- pers Drug Mart were 3-1 win- ners Over Capilano and WV Kokanee shut out Edgemont Hy-Caps 2-0. Flames burn up ice The North Shore Winter Club Flames travelled to Chilliwack Friday night and came away 11-6 victors. The Jets, playing their usual rough house game were burned for four power play goals. Cary Manns and Paul Tadey led the assault with two goals each, with singles going to Cam Drew, Dave Clark, Steve Corcoran, Howie Stohl, Joe Ceraldi, Gord Wilson and Scott Picard. Jim Wilson had four assists for the winners. Flames suffered another injury loss as big Randy Moberg fractured his elbow late in the game and will be out indefinitely. John Goddard handled the goaltending, blocking 28 shots. On Saturday night the flames extended their unbeaten string to nine games by beating the 2nd place Seat- tle Americans 3-2. Jim Wilson scored twice and Paul Tadey added the other. Kevin Innis was steady in the Flames net blocking 30 shots. Next up for the Flames is Saturday night at the Winter Club against Mission, game tume 8:45 pm.
