Cyclist struck, charges pending CHARGES ARE being prepared against a North Vancouver man who struck 2 cyclist and fled the scene of the accident. North Yancouver RCMP said Neil Walker, 26, was saken to Livas Gate Hospital after he was struck Sunday night while riding his bicycle eastbound on Keith Road. The driver of a westbound vehicle turned left on Shavington and struck Walker, before fleeing the scene. The man will appear in court Nov. 5. Alvin Thomas Raweater was originally charged with one count of theft over $1,000 and one count of possession of stolen property after a Dec. 12, 1985 police sefztire of a stolen automobile in the 100-block East 23rd Street in North Vancouver. Appearing before North Vancouver provincial court Judge J.B. Paradis, Raweater pleaded guilty ty the possession of stolen prop- erty charge. Legal proceedings on the first charge were subsequently stayed. Youth charged with B&E FOUR BREAK AND ENTRY charges and two traffic violations have fended an 18-year-old West Vancouver man in court. Muir Douglas Clark appeared in North Vancouver provincial court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing on the charges. He was originally charged jointly with Preston Richard Stauffer, 20, also of West Vancouver, in connection with a string of four burglaries that allegedly took plzce June 11 at four Lower Lonsdale residences. In addition to the break and entry charges, Clark was charged with dangerous driving and failure to stop in connection with another June 11 incident on Chesterfield Avenue. Appearing before North Vancouver provincial court Judge J.B. _ Paradis, Clark had his case remanded to Oct. 14, Stauffer has had his case moved to a higher court. Summons issued for speedy sailing A NEW summons has been issued for another person charged with sailing over harbor speed limits. Dennis Wheatly, 57, of North Vancouver was charged with one charge of moving a vessel at a speed over five knots in connection with an incident alleged to have taken place in Deep Cove Harbor in August. Wheatly, who was scheduled to appear iu North Vancouver provincial court Monday, failed to show up. In September, two men were scheduled to appear in North Van- couver corrt to face similar charges.
