the Nasty
Democratic Party
missed an opportuni-
ty last Tuesday. He
could have promised
to have his Human
Rights Police do a lot
More in suppressing
free speech.

He couldn't have been
reading the European press,
where I see that the German
and the French governments
have been asking for loose
talk in pubs be made a crimi-
nal offence. They also want to
make “holocaust denial”
worth a jail sentence in
England, as it is already in
Germany and France.

The British have reflised
to go along with this advance
in thought control. Pity. It
would have been nice to see a

against the Nazis sent to jail
for saying the wrong thing.

You may recall that loose
talk in pubs was highly dan-
gerous in Adolf’s time. And
not only in Adolf’s time. As
soon as the war was over
Germans started denouncing
one another to the Allied
Occupation Forces. I know
because I was there.

self in some camp, waiting to

Nothing much has
changed except that the
emphusis is now different.
Where once it was dangerous
to be in opposition to the
regime, it is now dangerous to
deny what the regime did.

Examples abound. An
American citizen who wrote a
letter to a German MP that
was deemed to be anti-
Semitic found himself arrest-
ed when he visited Germany
last year to visit his old Mum.
A former German himself, he
languished in durance vile for
several months. Then he was
allowed bail and, wisely,
skipped the country.

As for the French, who
could ever trust them? From
the time of Count Metternich,

who served Napoleon, the
Bourbons and Wellington
with equal facility, they have
switched sides so often it’s a
wonder they are not all cross-
eyed.

Shortly before Paris ici
toward the end of the recent
war, a million of them turned
out in that city to honor
Marshal Petain, the head of
the pro-Nazi Vichy govern-
ment. But when Hitler bit the
dust, everyone claimed to
have been ‘in the Resistance.
That included the — late
President Mitterrand, who
was One of Petain’s top men.

As I say, Glen Clark & Co.
are missing a trick or two. Bill
33, which allows them to per-
secute the politically incor-
rect to the tune of $100,000,
is not enough. Why don’t they
make it an offence to say the
wrong thing in pubs? That
way, they could arrest folk
who don’t want turbans in
Legion branches.

person in’ government pre-
pared to stand up to the Frogs,
the Huns, the Wops, the Nips,

the slimy, hairless Swedes.

columnist. .

tt is obvious that thes
don’t yet have a Bill 33 in
Britain. We have one here but
Glen Clark and his fellow
frauds are nevertheless falling
down on the job.
