No lights on large municipal tree at 13th and Marine

Well, not all the lights, just the
ones that usually brighten a large
municipal tree at 13th Street and
Marine Drive at Christmas time.

director, said a number of people
have expressed their unhappiness
about the lack. of lights on the
tree,

The West Vancouver Chamber
of Commerce used to place an
estimated 2,000 Christmas lights
en the 60-foot (18 m), municipal
tree, but not this year,

project, but council ‘dragged
their feet’ on the proposal.

He said some council members
have told him they would like to
see the tree lighted.

But said Peermain, ‘Hey, we
can’t decide on Dec. 23 that that
is something we had and we still
would like."’

The chamber of commerce of-
fered the lights to the
municipality.
