My Mom is Special My mother’s the kind of mother who would do anything for you (well, at least almost anything). | love my mom a lot because of the fun times we have together and things we share. One really funny time was when my dad was away on a business trip, a forest mouse wandered into our house. It was scary, but my mom was the brave one. She grabbed a basket and tried to catch the mouse, but it was too quick for her. It scurried under a cupboard, Later on, we had to buy mouse traps! Another funny time was when my mom, brother and | went to a frog pond. It was spring time, so there were many frogs’ eggs. So do you know what my mom did? She kicked off her Reeboks and into the pond she went. She quickly scocped the eggs up with a net. You should have seen how muddy she looked! But that didn’t bother her, because she did this for my science project. 1 love my mom because she's caring, she’s funny, and she’s kind. Of course, I love her best because she’s my mom! When | was younger, £ used to see my mother as the enforcer of law and order in the household. She would always deal out the punishment and scold us if we were behaving badly. She was basically the policeman of the house. But recently my interpretation of her has changed. Now I see her a friend, someone that is there to help me and console me. Maybe it is because I’m maturing, but in my view she has changed into one of my closest friends. I love you, Niom. Your son, Toby Ellis, 18 West Vancouver My mother is a special onc.
