NMeicalfe JOY TELLS ALL AFTER THIS past disastrous week of doom and gloom, it’s a pleasure to report that the former owner of the Lions Gate Times, Citizen columnist and the owner and publisher of the Squamish Citizen, Cloudesly Shovell Quenton Hoodspith, is alive and well in Lions Gate Hospital. LOOPS G.M. KIRK JOHNSON... hosted the Canucks team prior to playoff action. He’s finally off the ventilator! This tough little cookie has made an amazing recovery. He was so badly injured that the doctors didn’t expect him to live after that near-fatal head-on collision on the Squamish High- way on Jan. 11. But he has come back in fighting trim! The rest of the good news is that they are going to move him over to Vancouver, to Shaughnessy Hospital's Spinal Cord Unit where they hope to get him into a motorized wheelchair. i couldn't be happier tor Cloud, for his loving wife, Derothy and for the cest of the fantily... Her dad, who's now a resi- dent of the Sunshine Coast, just happens to be the former mayor of North Vancouver City, Tom Reid... In town today is former model, actor and maie fashion columnist for the Vancouver Province, Julian Ayrs. Julian has been living in Los Angeles for a number of years working in movies and television.
