Fighting fire
in the home

WEST VANCOUVER Mayor Derrick Humphreys and fire
chief Colin Evans both got a little wet last week to prove a
point — residential fire sprinkler systems like the one install-
ed in a demonstration home can stop a small fire in a hamper
(left) from becoming a raging inferno (above).
