offering nature and outdoor

Summer. There will be
something for everyone to
enjoy; like a walk along the
nature trails at U.B.C. with a
naturalist explaining the sur-
roundings.

Paddlers will want to join
us for a canoeing lesson on
‘Deer Lake! Pedalers will en-
joy a trip on wheels around
Gabriola Island along ‘quiet
‘ country roads. Nature. talks
will be’ given on. birds,
plants, wildlife habitat and
. endangered: species. There
are trips to MacMillan
Bloedel Place and Van
Duesen Gardens, tours: of
the Weather Station and the
_ Canadian Coast Guard Sta-
tion.

On June 18, 1983 In Shiraz, Iran, 10 Baha'i
women and girls, ages 18 to 54, were secretly
executed by hanging. These executions
followed closely on the hangings two days
earlier of 6 Baha’ men. On June 28, 1983,
another young tranian Baha'l was hanged. All
17 Baha'is were put to death because they had Mra. Tahirih Slyavushi, nurse
refused to recant thelr falth. hanged June 18, 1983
