Dear Editor: Your ‘Beautiful’ picture of dinner time, at local garbage dump (page 7, April 29 Sunday News) was.a dis- grace, Fell me, did you actually pay wages or. financial consideration for ‘this, ‘gar- bage? -74 Your publication would be- well. advised to attempt something .a little more attractive, -- We are all far too familiar with garbage, and garbage dumps. Lots of high class words to ' describe such-a place, but just the same old garbage dumpl Gulls, crows, bears,. flies and pollution. Why don’t you and other publishers concentrate on _complete elimination of all garbage dumps, so big business might not appreci- ate such actions? ~ All this garbage should be completely burned in a proper incinerator which can ‘be built. No need to import such as item from a foreign country. Just get with it and also this disposal system will help ‘to reduce the increasing number of crows and gulls, which are just scavengers anyway, and in time the robbins and thrushes_ will multiply, lots more advan- tages too. John I. Pitman North Vancouver ‘ A sensible suggestion Dear Editor: The inevitable has hap- pened! A long-term school trustee has made a sensible suggestion. North Van- couver School District apparently enjoys an over- abundance of well-trained, extraordinarily capable administrators and the suggestion is that North Vancouver export surplus Staff to less-fortunate areas. As is customary in all sports, undoubtedly and equitable transfer fee will be arranged. This will permit North Vancolver to con- tinue to function as_ the “administrator farm-club”, Not to examine gift horses too closely, however, the idea should be adopted immediately and finances arranged later. Many arcas are wocfully short of ad- ministrators. Uganda, for instance, is currently in a short supply situation. Who knows - North Vancouver's loss may be Uganda's final finish!
