Northwest Purchasing
Management Conference
and Product Display at the
Hotel Vancouver, April 5
through 7.

The majority of the

residents. General Con-
ference Chairman is Dave
Brewer, director of supplies
and services for Capilano
College. Vice-Chairman is
Dave’s brother, Gerry
Brewer, who is director of
purchasing and property
services for the City of North
Vancouver. Nine of the

will be able to direct dial
calls to five more countries,
effective April 9, bringing to
32 the number of countries
on B.C. Tel’s overseas direct
distance dialing network.

The five countries are.

Finland, Fiji, Singapore,
South Korea and Taiwan.

The overseas dialing
system was first introduced
in Canada by B.C. Tel in
September of 1976 when

customers in the greater
Vancouver area were
provided with direct dialing
service to seven overseas
countries which included the
United Kingdom, Germany,
Japan, Hong Kong,
Australia, New Zealand and
the Philippines.

The service is now
available to all customers in
the Lower Mainland area
and later this year will be
introduced to customers in
the South Okanagan region.
