There are so many
reasons for sewing

JUST LIKE our finger-
prints, every home sewer is
different.

The reasons she or he sews are
varied.

Some sew in order to supple-
ment their purchased wardrobes.

Some sew for their family
members and friends.

Some sewers create entire new
wardrobes,

Some sew in order to obtain
proper fit,

Some sew because the ready-

made market can’t give them what

they like or need. ;
Some sew because they can have
a larger wardrobe for less money.
Some sew for the creative grati-
fication, as clothing construction

is a creative skill and can become.

an art.

Some sew purely for the love of
sewing; every tiny detail of con-
struction gives pleasure.

provide exciting inspiration for
creative sewing and many of them
make sewing easier. :

from knowing that a garment is
right.

This feeling comes when a
knowledge of sewing construction
techniques and individual
creativity are combined, resulting
in wonderful additions to one’s
wardrobe.

Be curious, experimental. Never
stop learning. ;

We should keep an open’ mind
to new techniques that make sew-
ing easier, faster and better.
