WHAT does a beauti-
ful lawn and garden
mean to you?

Every spring people spend
thousands on landscaping
and maintaining their lawns
and gardens; yet they often
over-look one of the most
essential components of a
healthy landscape: irrigation.
Without it, all the landscap-
ing and maintenance is in
vain.

Now, more than ever, it is
becoming important to prop-
erly irrigate vour lawns and
gardens. Conserving, water is
everyone’s responsibility.

The days of putting your
sprinkler out in the yard and
letting it water from dawn to
dusk and then _ possibly
remembering to turn it off
before bed, are gone.

We now have water
restrictions all through the
summer, which allow us only
to water on certain days and
for a set period of time. Not
only that, but soon water
metering will create further
expense and headache.
However, vour landscape
shouldn’t have to suffer.

Lawns and gardens need a
lot less water than many peo-
ple think. However, the water
that they do get needs to be
at the right time of day and
consistent over the entire
lawn to prevent brown areas
from forming.
