SIX PROJECTS to

grants worth up to
$20,000 each in the
ninth round of selections
under the Affordability
and Choice Today
(ACT) program.

The announcement was
made recently by the Hon.

David C. Dingwall, Minister

responsible for Canada
Mortgage and Housing
Corporation (CMHC), the
federal government's hous-
ing agency.

“These six new projects
will add to the many innova-
tions in zoning. planning
and building regulations that
are now being developed by
the 66 ongoing ACT pro-
jects.” said Dingwall. “The
program is encouraging a
spirit, of cooperation
between municipalities and
the housing industry is seek-
ing ways of providing a
greater choice of affordable
housing,” he added.

The program, now in its
fifth year, is sponsored by
CMHC and managed by the
Federation of Canadian
Municipalities (FCM), the
