That's the way the Disciples of James Dean Fan Club remember him. On Feb. 28 this group of Dean admirers, formed by friends from a small Texas town after the classic Giant was filmed on location nearby, will take to the stage for Presentation House Theatre's pro- duction of American playwright Ed Graczyk’s Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, jimmy Dean. “They (the fan club members) haven't seen each other for 20 years and they come back to this small town and reveal what they have done, and more importantly, what they haven’t done with cheir lives,”” explains director and resi- dent Presentation House produc- tien manager Michael Fera, who says he was attracted to the play because it allowed him to work with a cast of mostly women, a rarity in this male-dominated werld of theatre. Graczyk’s work was the basis for By Evelyn Jacob Nevis Reporter the self-titled 1982 movie starring Cher, Karen Black and Sandy Dennis. The story focuses on the 20-year reunion of the Disciples of James Dean Fan Club. The get-together ends up being a catalyst that forces the fan club members to confront lies they have been living since the innocent days when they formed their group. The cast includes Mairzie Almas, Erin Barrett, Margaret Brown, Laura K. Burke, Mike Cavers, Tan- ja Dixon-Warren, Elizabeth Lampert, Brenda MacDonald and Michael Vonn.
