Blood donors needed

THE CANADIAN Red Cross
needs blood.

The following is a list of upcom-
ing blood donor clinics on the
North Shore.

On Wednesday, June 7 from 2
to 8 p.m. at the Squamish Civic
Centre, Centennial Way, Bracken-

le.

On Monday, June 19 and Tues-
day, June 20 from 2 to 8 p.m. at
Lions Gate Hospital, Medical Day
Centre, 200 E. 1i5th St., North
Vancouver.

On Thursday, June 29 from 2 to
8 p.m. at West Vancouver Recre-
ation Centre, 780-22nd St.

Potpourri workshop held

A POTPOURRI workshop will be
presented at West Vancouver's
Bagle Harbour Centre on Wed-
nesday, June 7 from 7:30 to 10
p.m.

Participants will learn about the
variety of fragrances now available
and how to make their own pot-
pourri. The workshop also in-
cludes recipes, creating your own

drying rack, drying techniques and
sachet ideas.

Each participant will take home
a flower drying rack, a sachet and
extensive potpourri knowledge.

Register at 5575 Marine Drive in
West Vancouver. Call 921-7425 for
more information. The cost of the
workshop is $15 and pre-registra-
tion is required.
