Ricki’s manager Laura Godfrey.

Quebec to Vancouver Island, Ricki’s
customers can take advantage of the
chain’s network buying power.

To build clientele locally, Ricki’s in-
troduced a new program in December
featuring specials of the week. ‘‘Rather
than spot specials good for a couple of
hours, we give a whole week to save.
Last month we had 20 per cent savings
on holiday dresses and sweaters,’’ said
Godfrey.

Ricki’s pays more than the usual lip
service commitment to retail service
with a unique feature simply called the
Clothes Line. ‘‘ A computer service

calls us every day. We give them
numbers of garments people are look-
ing for and they do a cross-country
search. If a customer is really in love
with something, wants a different color
or size, then we’re always pleased to get
it for them,’’ says Godfrey.
