This year will provide an interesting twist to the race. Thrill of a Lifetime will be - flying from Toronto to film a segment of its show at the Capilano River. Thrill is a weekly half hour program aired nationally on the CTV | & Network. It is Thrill's intention this year to fly Harold Drew, a 58-year-old Bell Canada employee, from Toronto to Vancouver to try his hand at whitewater will be paddiing in front of a C-2 (2 man closed-deck canoe) with veteran C-1 and C-2 man, Don Cohen (Na- tional Champion). Harold has done some canoeing in the past, but the Capilano will probably be the most turbulent river he will at- tempt in his career.
