The club has risen : na- tionally, from 1982 to 1984, from 84th to 23rd in Short Course (25M) National T.A.G. (Top Age Group) rankings. This is out of ap: proximately 250-300 com-" petitive swim clubs across. the country. Provincially, during the B.C. Age Group Champion< - ships held in Victoria, both in Short February and in Long Course (SOM) held in July, Chena. placed third out of the top ten teams. in the province. Under: the direction § of Henderson, assisted by her first’ cate coaching staff, Chena is also producing young swimmers who are competing internationally. There are openings’ cur- rently within the club for anyone who is able to swim 25 metres and Chena is ac- tively recruiting young people to competitive swimming.
