and catering operation from Karin
Essinger in May 1996, have sold My
Place to Gerard Page, ‘chet for the past
four years at West Vancouver's excellent
Ches Michel (926-4913) restaurant and
the restaurant’s original chef in 1979.

Page will make My Place his place on
Nov. 1.

In addition to operating the restau-
rant, Page will run his Cordon Bleu
catering business from My Place’s large
kitchen.

another wine maker's dinner. The
Thursday, Nov. 6, affair will feature
B.C.’s Hainle Estate vinevards and
include a menu of Pheasant, Veal and
Duckling Pate; Grilled Portobello
Mushroom and Arugula Salad;
Dungeness Crab and Ricotta Ravioli;
and Venison Loin.

Wines accompanying the feast will
include a 1995 Traminer, 2 1996 Pinot
Blane and a 1995 Pinot Noir Adethcids
Vineyard.
