festivities
are for all

WEST VANCOUVER'S Cultural
Services is lighting up the Carol
Ships this year.

The first annual Procession of
Lights, a candle-lit: lantern pro-
cession fed by wandering
minstrels, will begin at the
Ambleside Park concession at 6:30
p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19. All are
invited to make lanterns of just to
come out for the night and see the
procession and the Carol Ships.

The Procession of Lights will
bepin at the Ambleside Park con-
cession, wind its way down by the
lagoon and emerge on the seawall,
finishing at the old swimming pool
site.

Along the way there will be
short breaks with entertainment
related to the season und to
Christmas. These events will in-
clude torch choreography and
madrigal singers, among others.

At the pool site there will be
several big bonfires, hot chocolate
(provided by the TiddlyCove
Lions) and carol singing accom- ‘ e
