THE VANCOUVER Port Corp. rang out the old year with record containerized cargo tonnages. Total 1992 volumes are currently run- ning ahead of 1991 figures by 16% and when final flgures are tallied, the port’s container terminals are forecast to register a 15% increase overall, reaching a record 440,000 TEUs (twenty foot equivalent units). The Port of Vancouver is expected to continue to expand its share of the west coast container market in 1993.
